iPhone App Weekend Challenge – March 2010
The IIT Knapp Entrepeneurship Center in partnership with ProOnGo, is back with a few more challenges for IIT’s app-crazy programmers!

Team Coaches:
Phil Leslie – Phillip Leslie is Founder and CEO of ProOnGo LLC, the leader in mobile receipt capture. While forming ProOnGo and developing its Receipt Reader Service, Phillip earned broad acclaim for the core concept and viability of the technology, including recognition as a finalist in the 2008 Edward L. Kaplan New Venture Challenge, a birth into the Challenge Round of the McGinnis Venture Competition, and an invitation for the company to reside in the ARCH Venture Partners New Business Incubator. Microsoft also recognized ProOnGo as a Bizspark startup. In April 2009, Phillip led ProOnGo to release the first Windows Mobile solution for scanning receipts via smartphone camera, as featured by BusinessWeek Online and NBC.
Mohan Vaze – Mohan Vaze has been a technical Leader and application developer on the enterprise Java platform for a decade. He learnt iPhone Development on the side and has a couple of applications on the App store for clients like Avis, Wilco. He is a senior consultant working with Roundarch for the past two years. Previously, he worked with Tata Consultancy Services, India’s leading IT services, outsourcing and business solutions company. He graduated from IIT(Indian Institute of Technology) Bombay with an M.Tech. degree in Energy Systems Engineering.
smart phones will be replacing desktops and laptops as the most widely used client for e-commerce, recreational web surfing, games and almost anything that computers do right now and iphone being the leader amongst them, I would really like to convert my ideas to reality for this still new and exciting medium of application development and an application developers dream come true in terms of the rewards a good app can fetch…sky is the limit.
